White Moss Woods – Rydal Waters – February 2017
People say that your photography reflects your mood well… here are my moody photos from Rydal. We spent the day in Rydal for our anniversary of 7 years since meeting in New York. After surviving the foggy drive and the dangerous roads – the struggle, yes thats right a road called the struggle, we arrived in one piece and started our little walk. Whilst walking around the water it started to rain but we managed to get a few photos of the dark dark day.
Starting point – They are 2 National trust car parks at the west of the lake.
Time – It takes about 2-3 hours
Distance – 3.7 miles
This walk is great for families and dogs, because the path is clear it’s popular for cyclists too. Half way round the walk you come to a bridge which leads to a dog friendly pub.The roaring fire and the classic fish and chips went down a treat. The pub was called the Badger Bar because they also have a colony of badgers who are fed at the pub on the evening. On the website for the badger bar they include a a badger cam were you can watch them being fed. Pretty cool!
